My friend and I shared cacio e pepe, heirloom tomato tripoline, and shrimp al limone. Cacio e peep is always the most classic choice, the seasonal tomato pasta is light enough to enjoy in summer, while both of us love the shrimp pasta with lemon cream, which tastes so unique and delicious. I can't wait for the pesto pasta coming back!

Delicious!!!! Some of the best cacio e Pepe I have ever had! I came here because the reviews were so good and because people said they do half portions. I'm a small gal and while I love leftovers I was headed to the airport and hate to waste. You stand in line to order and it wasn't slow or crazy fast. The gal at the register was friendly and quick and when I discovered they do NOT do half portions, she asked the kitchen if I could have a child size in light of the airport sitch which they did for me. There are desserts for sale right there at the cash register and I didn't have one but they were really nice looking. May be a good place to bring an impressive dessert For a dinner party. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was very cheesy. Served in a magical stone type bowl that I have never seen and that actually kept it piping hot the entire time. Game changer. I went back for a side of bread because bread is legit my love language. It was disappointing to say the least. Kinda like the French bread made by your local grocery store brand. The vibe was cool! Open, wooden tables, busy but not crammed. Multiple communal tables which I always like to see. It was well priced, perhaps mostly because I got a child's portion. I would come back to try their marinara, maybe a chicken dish and a more complex pas. They certainly seem to know what they are doing!

This place is a gem! A must try! The place itself is very cute with indoor, outdoor sitting plus a bar area. The service was beyond hospitable with great knowledge of their menu and ingredients. Shout out to Gina, who was absolutely brilliant and the food was spectacular. Every dish was delicious and the quality was superb. This is a must visit place for amy occasion. They serve half portions of their dishes and they are all truly accommodating on any dietary restrictions.

This was actually the best food I've had in a long time. I cannot wait to go back. The service was great as well. We had the fresh bread with whipped ricotta to start. The drinks were amazing. Hands down worth the wait for our reservation.

Came to Pittsburgh for a few days and came to DiAnoia's the food was amazing! We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated at the bar right away. The bartender was very attentive and recommended the whipped ricotta and the Crema di Pomodoro secco, which were both amazing! The food and decor made me feel like I was back in Sorrento Italy! Can't wait to visit again!

We were in Rome last year and loved the food there so much. Wanted to try authentic Italian food here in our hometown. Many friends that have been to Italy advised us to try DiAnoias in the Strip District as it is very authentic. As a birthday gift, my Son took me there, made a reservation for 5pm on a Wednesday night. We were greeted straight away by the hostess, shown to our table near the window and first impressions, the interior is very authentic, good decor and plenty of natural light. Our waiter Vladimir was awesome, patient and explained everything to us. We started with the house salad which was more than enough for the two of us. Then we got the fresh bread and oil with whipped ricotta, what a great pairing. For the mains, we got the crema di pomodoro secco and the spring carbonara which were outstanding with fresh ingredients and fresh pasta. For dessert we got a tiramisu and Vladimir suggested the cheesecake. Both were outstanding and made in house. The ambience, taste and service transported me back to Rome, this definitely is one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh. If you want authentic Italian food where the menu changes based on the season, try this wonderful place. I can understand why this place is ranked high on Google and Tripadvisor, they really know what they are doing here.

We were more than glad to sit down to heaps of DiAnoia's comfort food after a 13-block, zig-zag walk from Heinz History Center. Order of zeppole as an appetizer (si, dessert first), cacio e pepe, primavera, a meatball and more . . . just about filled the top of the outdoor, umbrella table. And a stomach or two. Courteous and quick service staff topped-off our visit. So glad that we didn't give in to a non-local restaurant and dodged the hipsters and moms-with-cellphones-not-minding-their-kids along the way. 5-stars for the aromas that beckoned us from blocks away.

I landed in Pittsburgh and my wife was hangry and we were on a mission to get some yummy food in that belly. We were staying in the the Strip / Lawrenceville area so dropped a pin on the map to get us to that area and then we would find. Well little did I know that the random point on the map that I touched was this restaurant. We thought it was fate so let's give it a shot and we were glad that we did. As we walked up to the host desk to check in we kept seeing all these amazing plates. Asking people what they ordered. Place was packed but only had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table. Overall there were smiles and good vibes all over the room. We were sat at a high top since the dining room was fully reserved that night. No problem at all it was perfect. Now the food and service. The food I would say was 8.5/10. - Bread 8/10 - little pricey for bread with olive oil but yummy - spring salad 6/10 - real heavy on oregano. I enjoyed is fresh and tasty. Wife not so much - lamb sugo pasta 9/10 - cooked well and tasty - CREMA DI POMODORO SECCO - 9/10 - great homemade pasta and flavorful sauce. The service is where is fell short. The host was awesome. Super nice and friendly gentlemen. But we sat at a high top in the bar area and our server / bartender was just super busy so we didn't see him often and had to wait long period in between orders and to get the check and to take the card etc. was very nice but def would help to get him help or fix how the service works when sitting in bar area.

We were delighted to get a reservation for dinner over the Holidays. DiAnoia's came highly rated by our friends and we are so glad we came. The service was fantastic and while I don't know if they were understaffed, certainly the ratio to patrons weren't quite in their favor...yet, service was very attentive and they made sure everyone was being taken care of. For meals, we ordered the Apple Walnut salad, Cacio e pepe, Pasta with homemade sausage and kale, the formidable Steak Florentine and tiramisu to-go. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! I struggled with knocking off a star, but decided not to...DiAnoia's well known Cacio e Pepe wasn't to our liking as it was heavy and very cheesy. We are coming from summers worth of Italian made Cacio e Pepes. Portions are also very huge, so we ended up taking part of the steak home too. Overall, we look forward to coming back again! Tip: reserve a month in advance to get the best timing that works for you.

I made reservations about a month ago for four for Saturday evening to try out my first Feast of the Seven Fishes. The price is a little steep ($74 per person plus tax and tip) but worth it to me because I really wanted to try it out. The service was fast and friendly. The only critique I have is that they didn't explain in the beginning how some of the courses of the Seven Fishes menu were family style and some were individual. The decor was super cute - I really enjoyed the light fixtures made out of wine glasses and wine bottles. The food itself was pretty good. All the seafood eras spread out over the three courses. I thought the second course was a little bland but loved the flavor of the third branzino course. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go back!
